Kazakshtan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development has approved an order to regulate coal and lignite exports, media reports. The document states that it will be illegal to export coal, briquettes, pellets, and similar solid fuels via road from Kazakhstan for the next six months.
This restriction applies to hard coal and lignite, except for gagat.
The Industrial Development Committee is responsible for informing the Eurasian Economic Commission about implementing the export restriction, which will officially take effect on May 26.
