A commercial and residential complex in the Uchtepa district of Tashkent has recently come under scrutiny due to its unexpected height. Initially planned for a modest three floors, the construction company Max Group House proceeded to add an additional 12+1 floors without proper authorization.
Although the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Uzbekistan was notified of the start of construction and installation works in 2021, it was discovered that the unauthorized floors had already been completed. Despite repeated warnings, the company continued construction, prompting authorities to halt the work.
Reportedly, the head of the company has been held accountable under Article 99 of the Code of Administrative Liability, and a lawsuit has been filed for demolishing the additional floors.
