The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Uzbekistan, Aziz Voitov, shared his thoughts on the German-Uzbekistan Business Forum during his visit to Berlin on May 2nd, as reported by "Daryo" correspondent.
Specifically, the minister noted that the business forum was held in a very constructive spirit. "Agreements were signed, and negotiations were held between entrepreneurs and representatives of responsible agencies. If I speak in terms of the agricultural sector, we have discussed many issues in a comprehensive manner. We have also reached agreements on teaching our students in the field of agriculture, exchange of experience in veterinary medicine and poultry farming," - he said.
According to Aziz Voitov, a contract has been signed with the "BayWa" company in the field of digitalization. "We have discussed not only the delivery of equipment from the "Big Dutchman" company for poultry farming, but also the issues of producing them in Uzbekistan, providing services, and training our employees and students in the field of production," - he added. "Most importantly, we have also had lengthy negotiations with German banks to finance these projects."
Currently, 6 contracts worth $118mn have been signed, and negotiations on export contracts worth over $100mn are ongoing," said the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
