The level of ultraviolet radiation in Tashkent will be 10 points on May 3, Meteonova reports.
According to the infographic, the dangerous phenomenon will last from 12:00 to 14:00. After that, the radiation level is expected to drop.
“It should be noted that this is a very high level of solar radiation, not seasonal. Such tension is likely taking place because of intense solar flares on April 30,” said Uzhydromet specialist Erkin Abdulahatov.
The following is recommended to protect yourself from the sun's rays:
- trying not to go out in the sun;
- looking for shady places;
- wearing closed clothes;
- wearing wide-brimmed hats that cover your eyes, face, and neck from the sun;
- wearing sunglasses that cover your eyes completely;
- using sunscreens and sunshades;
- avoiding tanning beds.
