Equipment worth about $73,000 was seized in Tashkent and banned from being imported from abroad, the information service of the Customs Administration reports.
The incident was detected at the customs post of foreign economic activity “Arkbulok”. Employees carried out an inspection of transformer parts imported in the name of the enterprise from abroad to the capital and presented for clearance in the "free circulation" customs regime.
The audit found that it was produced in 2009 and was already in use.
The import into the country of previously used generator equipment, transformers, electric motors, as well as energy-consuming equipment of energy efficiency class "D" has been banned from September 1, 2019.
