According to the financial report of "Uztransgaz," the company earned a total income of $1.07bn in 1Q23, the company's press service reveals.
This reflects a decrease of $65.2mn compared to 1Q22 when the company earned $1.1bn. However, the financial report for 1Q22 indicated that the company's income was only $456.5mn. Additionally, the company's expenses decreased from $1.3bn to $1.2bn in January-March 2023.
During this period, "Uztransgaz" did not pay profit tax due to a lack of profits. The company suffered a loss of $219.4mn in the first quarter, which is approximately $41.7mn more than the same period in 2022 when it lost nearly $175.5mn.
In contrast, the financial report for 1Q22 showed a loss of $65.9mn for the company.
"Uztransgaz" is a large energy company in Uzbekistan that deals with the transportation, storage, and sale of gas, gas condensate, and oil. The company is responsible for supplying natural gas to consumers in Uzbekistan and for the transportation, transit, and export of natural gas.
