Tajikistan's wrestlers are set to compete in the World Judo Championship in Doha, Qatar, from May 7-14. The organizers have allocated €1mn for the championship, Daryo correspondent reports from Tajikistan.
The winners of individual competitions in 14 weight categories will receive €26,000 with a gold medal, €15,000 with a silver medal for the second place, and €8,000 with a bronze medal for the third place.
In addition, divided by teams, the defeaters will receive €90,000 for the first prize, €60,000 for the second, and €25,000 for the third.
The judokas of the Tajikistan national team participating in the championship are Nurali Emomali and Shahboz Saidabrorov in the 66-kilogram weight category, Behruz Khojazoda in the 73-kilogram weight category, Somon Mahmadbekov and Shodon Rizoev in the 81-kilogram weight category, Komronshoh Ustopiriyan in the 90-kilogram weight category, and Temur Rahimov in the 100-kilogram weight category.
