The Uzbek professional boxer, Bektemir Melikuziev (11-1, 9 KOs), super-middleweight (-76.2 kg) will hold his next fight against Gabriel Rosado (26-16-1, 15 KOs) in the early hours of April 23.
The rematch is slated on the card of the boxing evening in Las Vegas (USA) during the main fight between WBA lightweight champion Jervonta Davis (28-0, 26 KOs) and Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs).
Bektemir and Gabriel recorded the same weight results, 75.89 kg.
"I'm excited to fight on this big boxing night. I asked for revenge and I got it. This is the most important thing now. The past is over. There will be no mistakes now.
Rosado can say whatever he wants. I'm glad that I have my rematch. No matter how many rounds the fight lasts, it will be interesting," Melikoziyev touted.
And Rosado said: "I am unhappy that he calls the victory in the first fight a coincidence. I would like to repeat this result. The result will be the same. I don't promise to repeat the knockout of the year like last time, but I will try to beat him. I am looking forward to the fight," he says.
on June 19, 2021, Bektemir Melikoziyev received a miserable knockout from Rosado in the 8th round.
After that bout, Rosado entered the ring 3 times and lost all of them by points (to Mungia, Shane Mosley Jr. and Ali Akhmedov). Melikoziyev won 4 fights against Sergey Yekimov, David Zegarra, Sladan Janjanin and Ulises Sierra.
