Turkmenistan Airlines, the sole national airline, reports that the second Airbus S.A.S. A330-200 cargo aircraft has arrived at Ashgabat international airport.
Under a contract signed with the French company in 2021, the first liner of this type was delivered to Turkmenistan last month.
"The country is successfully implementing large-scale programs to develop the transport and communication complex and take it to new heights," the press release said.
Local specialists were trained in Singapore and France.
The A330-200 P2F, powered by twin Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines, has a range of 13,408km and can efficiently operate international flights with a cargo of up to 55,000kg.
This European manufacturer first entered the Turkmen market. Since 1992, Turkmenistan Airlines has worked with the American Boeing Corporation.
