Kyrgyzstan's state debt (external and domestic) stood at $5.6bn at the end of February 2023, 24.kg informs referring to the Ministry of Finance.
The state debt fell by $32.17mn within a month. Simultaneously, foreign debt fell by $26.3mn, while internal debt dropped by $5.86mn.
However, National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic shows a little different statistics on Kyrgyz state debt.
Multilateral loans to Kyrgyzstan account for more than half of the foreign debt (50.4%) - $2.2bn. Another $2.1bn (48.4% of foreign debt) is owed by the nation under bilateral concessional loans. Of these, 39.7% is due to the Export-Import Bank of China, totaling $1.7bn in February 2023.
According to the ministry, the foreign debt is $4.4bn, and the internal debt is $1.1bn.
