The sterile zone of the Tashkent airport will soon launch a capsule hotel, Uzbekistan Airports has reported. The two floors of the hotel would accommodate twenty-seven capsules for guests featuring single beds, clothes racks, hand luggage shelves, and tables.
The capsule hotel will have a front desk open 24 hours a day, and each room will have an individual boarding invitation system.
Decorated in oriental style, the goal of the project is to ‘convey the authenticity and luxury of the East’ and at the same time connect it with ‘European minimalism and compactness’ inside the capsules.
‘Unfortunately, not every transit passenger can stay in Uzbekistan and see its ancient cities and culture. With this in mind, we aimed to create an authentic atmosphere right at the airport', interior designer Bobur Ismailov said.
The hotel is supposed to be managed by a professional hotel company. The corresponding lot has already been presented at the E-auction.
The starting price of the lot is UZS 113,000 per square meter monthly or UZS 325.44mn per year. Bids are accepted until 9 a.m. on April 13; the auction starts at 10 a.m. on the same date.
