100 residential containers will be installed in Ovakent village of Turkiye's Hatay region, which was affected by the February earthquakes, as part of Uzbekistan's charitable assistance, Anadolu Agency reports.
Containers with a total area of 21m² have a kitchen, a toilet, and a bathroom. The containers are equipped with thermal insulation and are resistant to various seasonal factors. A team of 15 people is engaged in their installation.
From February 6 to February 13, the government of Uzbekistan organized 6 separate cargo flights carrying search and rescue, medical teams, and humanitarian aid to the Adana region.
A 100-member Uzbek search and rescue team went to Turkiye and carried out rescue work in the Hatay region. They rescued 18 people alive from the rubble and managed to find the bodies of 190 people. 71 medical workers established a field hospital in the Hatay region and provided medical assistance to 1795 men, 1177 women, and 888 children.
