Uzbekistan, on April 1, will launch the ‘Solar House’ program aimed to stimulate the installation of low-power solar panels in residential buildings.
The new program will allow every Uzbekl national to install solar panels on their facilities and, if desired, to sell the electricity they generate in the amount of UZS 1,000 per kilowatt/hour.
The state budget would cover the procurement subsidies. Funds for electricity sold by residents would be transferred monthly to citizens’ account numbers through Soliq mobile application.
