Uzbekistan's president Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a telephone conversation with his Egyptian counterpart Abdulfattah al-Sisi on March 27 discussed the implementation of high-level agreements in detail.
Both leaders started the conversation by sincerely congratulating each other on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan and wished peace, and prosperity to the friendly nations.
Particular attention was paid to the promotion of specific cooperation projects of the leading companies of the two countries in the fields of energy, mining, leather and jewelry, healthcare, and telecommunications.
The importance of continuing active dialogue and creating favorable conditions for the effective implementation of joint projects was noted. For this purpose, it was emphasized that it is necessary to regularly hold meetings of the bilateral intergovernmental commission and the Council of Businessmen. Opinions were also exchanged on current issues of the international and regional agenda.
