Representatives of the Uzbek Embassy partook in the Oxford University on the Conservation of Wildlife in Central Asia, chaired by the Saiga Conservation Alliance (SCA), Dunyo reports.
Presentations were given on the ongoing work to restore the ecological system of the Aral Sea region, Planned projects in Central Asia and Uzbekistan in cooperation with international organizations.
The Uzbek diplomats informed the participants of the wide-ranging reforms being carried out in the country's environmental protection, including the emphasis on ensuring environmental rights in the new draft constitution and measures to restore the ecological system of the Aral Sea region.
SCA management highly hailed the environmental activities carried out by Uzbekistan. The British side underlined the effective relations established with Uzbekistan to protect Saigok and expressed its readiness to develop further cooperation in this direction.
