Andrey Yusov, the representative of the General Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, spoke about ways to change the regime in Russia, UNIAN reports.
According to him, the arrest warrant for the Russian President Vladimir Putin and International Criminal Court position on it is helping to change the regime.
"Number of people who want to distance themselves from Putin in Russia are increasing even among those who are in power today," he said.
Yusov said that one of these scenarios could be a riot because the country needs to have a lot of "conscious citizens" to carry it out. The intelligence officer said that the uprising could be led by people who have been sanctioned and those dissatisfied with the death of Russian soldiers in Ukraine.
He also noted that Putin and his close circle could be more afraid of an elite rebellion.
"We will see in the near future what the result will be. It really won't take long to wait. We are talking about a period of time that can be predicted in advance," said Yusov.
