Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan intend to build a “Bay-Talaa Global” logistics center on 50 ha of land. The facility will comprise warehouses, wholesale and retail markets, and an agro-industrial complex and function as a trade and logistics hub exporting products from the two countries. The facility would ease the process of channeling cargo through Kyrgyzstan to the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and China.
Located on the border of the Namangan, Andijan, and Tashkent regions, the facility will start operating in the summer of 2023.
Earlier Kazakhstan began to operate a logistics hub for an online trading area of 38 thousand sq. m.
Earlier Daryo reported that Uzbekistan and Tajikistan laid the foundation for the erection of the Andakhon market on the bilateral border on March 13. Reportedly, Uzbekistan intends to allocate $8mn for its construction. The facility is set to be created at the expense of the country’s government on a 5-hectares area.
