The Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Komil Allamjonov on March 14 held a meeting with the US Ambassador to Uzbekistan regarding the limitation of YouTube monetization.
The sides discussed establishing cooperation with Google (YouTube) and thereby jointly solving some problems related to the information sector.
It was noted that many Uzbek bloggers have received complaints about the limitation of YouTube monetization. Therefore, it was agreed to organize a meeting with the representatives of the company and analyze the situation.
For reference, starting from April 2021, YouTube has suspended financial incentives for the authors of channels for the Uzbek audience.
