A total of 25 electricity purchase and investment agreements worth over $10,1bn and a total capacity of 11,954 MW have been inked with international companies over the last four years, UzA reports.
Under the agreements, 9 thermal, 9 solar, and 7 wind power plants will be put into operation in Uzbekistan by late 2026.
This is more than 60% of the current electricity production volumes in Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Energy says.
