Uzbekistan became a popular vacation spot for March 8, International Women's Day celebrations among Russian tourists, TASS reports.
About 81% of all reservations during the March 8 holiday are for domestic routes. The most popular domestic destinations are St. Petersburg, Moscow, and Sochi, reservation service "Ostrovok.ru" estimates.
Leading foreign destinations are Belarus, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, Italy, Armenia, France, Uzbekistan, Spain, and Kazakhstan.
An average five-day stay at hotels abroad costs Russians about 42,300 rubles, while the average price for one night is 7 600 rubles.
Travelers booked one night in hotels in Uzbekistan for an average of 4.7 thousand rubles (700 thousand soums). In Turkey, this indicator was higher - at 6.3 thousand rubles, and in Kazakhstan - at 5.9 thousand rubles.
