By June 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan will develop a draft law on the establishment of the "Religious Tolerance" order. This is provided for in the draft state program submitted for public discussion.
The order is conferred to employees of state and public organizations and religious scholars who contributed to the protection of freedom, conscience and strengthening of inter-religious as well as inter-confessional harmony and tolerance.
The Committee on Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Economy and Finance are responsible bodies for the execution of the task.
It is planned to hold cultural and educational events promoting inter-ethnic harmony, religious tolerance and inter-ethnic friendship in the country. Including:
- July 30 - the "Dostlik" festival will be organized and held in connection with the Day of Friendship of Peoples;
- November 16 - "Tolerance" week will be held in all regions of the republic dedicated to The International Day for Tolerance.
