Ambassador of Azerbaijan Huseyn Guliyev, taking part in Tashkent’s evening of friendship on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, congratulated the peoples of the two countries, Dunyo reports.

‘On this momentous day, I would like to emphasize the ever-increasing role of the Central Asian region in the international arena, which has been made possible largely by the open and constructive regional policy pursued by Uzbekistan, and the unanimous support of all Central Asian countries.
We all know that, until recently, there were some unresolved issues that prevented the region from opening up fully, from effectively using its potential, but now we see that in a very short time, thanks to the political will of the leaders, were able to agree as true friends, brothers, and neighbors. This is a breakthrough achievement for all, which I am sure will bear rich fruit in the coming years.
I welcome the unifying role of Uzbekistan in the region and wish countries successful cooperation for the peace and prosperity of their peoples’, Ambassador said.
