In the Ministry's information, part-time and evening forms of education have been restored, distance education has been introduced, and admission quotas have been increased as one of the essential changes.
The ministry announced that in the development of higher education until 2030, at least 10 universities in Uzbekistan are included thousand in the ratings of international agencies.
On November 8, 2022, the results of the QS Asia University Rankings-2023 were announced. 760 universities from 23 countries took part in it, and 8 universities of Uzbekistan took a worthy place among them. "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" National Research University and the National University of Uzbekistan were among the top 500 universities.
In addition, in 2021, one of the most prestigious international rating organizations of Great Britain, QS, ranked 4 universities in the European and Central Asian countries, and in 2022, the National University of Uzbekistan was the first in "Mathematics" in the rating of the world universities managed by the agency, ranked among the top 500 in the world. According to the agency's rating, Tashkent State Law University was rated as a 4-star university for the first time among HEIs of Uzbekistan.
