On January 20, Shavkat Mirziyoyev convened an extended meeting on the development of the system of foreign languages and vocational training in schools.
"A child who learns a profession and a language from school is a great achievement of our society, the one who does not know is a problem," Mirziyoyev said.
One city and two districts were selected from each region to implement this experiment. Based on the characteristics of districts and neighbourhoods, it is planned that pupils will be trained in 64 different working professions.
Therefore, the hokims were assigned to organize vocational workshops in the selected schools and fully equip them with necessary materials using the money from the Youth Fund.
For high-quality teaching of foreign languages, instructions were given on attracting teachers who are "native speakers", on the experience of language teaching at presidential schools, and on the implementation of textbooks and programs.
The regional governors of the region gave information on the plans for the development of foreign languages and vocational training on the example of the selected schools.
