Uzbekistan’s Finance Minister Timur Ishmetov has informed that the bill and budget envisage a 5.3% in the country’s gross domestic product (GDP).
In particular, industrial production is expected to surge by 5.1%, construction by 6%, agriculture by 3.5%, and services by 6.7%. In 2023 Uzbekistan’s GDP is expected to reach 1,068 trillion UZS, and the State budget revenues will be 232.1 trillion UZS or 21.7% of GDP.
The bill, starting in 2023, sets a ceiling on the consolidated budget deficit at no more than 3% of GDP. State budget expenditures (including transfers to state special funds) amounted to 257.7 trillion UZS, or 24.1% of GDP, or an increase of 18.9 trillion UZS over the expected 2022 performance.
