Over 11 months of 2022, Uzbekistan exported grapes worth $256mn and processed products, including raising, worth $100mn, Uzbekistan’s Agency for Regulation of Alcohol and Tobacco Market and Winemaking Development has informed.
Reportedly, clusters helped increase the export volumes.; reorganization of berry processing businesses helped expand export capacities for the storage and processing of grape products of 55,000 tons, including the refrigeration warehouses for 30,000 tons, enterprises for drying grapes for 10,000 tons, and processing capacities for 15,000.
Today, 48 districts specializing in viticulture have started to implement the cluster method. In the past two years, 105 wine and vineyard clusters have been established, sowing 14,000 hectares. In 2021-2022 new plantings of industrial type were laid on a total area of 12,000 hectares.
