Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade on Monday (December 19) held a meeting with Nail Yildirim, Deputy Director General of Mineral Research and Exploration of Turkey, Ankara (MTA), and project manager Mustafa Tokogu.
During the meeting, MTA representatives highly appreciated the favorable conditions created in Uzbekistan for foreign investors and expressed readiness to take an active part in the implementation of new joint projects.
The prospects of increasing investment cooperation to implement new projects in the field of mineral exploration were discussed. It was noted that there are opportunities to enhance joint work, exchange experience, and technologies, and improve the skills of specialists in both countries.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on the format and measures to develop further partnership within the framework of the implementation of the discussed areas of cooperation.
Established in 1935, MTA (Mineral Research and Exploration General Directorate) is a research organization that provides data to improve the mining sector and offers infrastructure services. MTA has been operating in Uzbekistan since 2018.
