Payme, Click, Apelsin stopped functioning after the State Tax Committee demanded fiscalization of all payments - payments on the spot, payments by QR code, payments on Telegram channels. The deputy chairman of the committee, Jahangir Abdiyev, tried to ease and commented on the incident during an interview with "Daryo" journalist.
On November 1, the heads of online payment systems and the leadership of the committee convened a briefing to explain the notification sent to payment system users. Apparently, the Uzbek tax officials did not intend to impose a financial penalty, but to warn them. After that, an additional period of 15 days was given for integration into payment systems when online payments resumed functioning again.
Yesterday, online payment systems stopped functioning due to their misinterpretation of regulatory documents. To date, 26 out of 48 payment systems have integrated the system. The remaining 22 payment systems have not yet made payments through the fiscalized system, says the deputy chairman of the committee.
The deputy chairman of the committee said that the experience of Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey and South Korea was studied before introducing the system of demanding fiscalization of all payments in Uzbekistan.
