During the visit to Uzbekistan, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock met with Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov to discuss topical issues of the Uzbek-German agenda and collaboration within multilateral structures.
The meeting also covered the main areas of Uzbekistan's foreign policy, focusing on Central Asia. In addition, parties highlighted the importance of continuing high-level political dialogue and organizing exchange visits and joint events in various spheres.
The Foreign Ministers stressed the need to expand trade and economic cooperation, organize the supply of a wide range of high-quality and competitive Uzbek products to Germany, and implement joint projects involving leading German companies.
The parties also highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation in human rights. Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov has invited German experts to the Global Forum on 'Human Rights Education' in Tashkent in December.
In addition to the abovementioned, the Foreign Ministers shared their interest in implementing specific environmental and social projects in the Aral Sea region.
