Uzbekistan, along with China and Turkey, has become one of the leaders in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) supply to Russia, the Association of Retail Companies (ARC) reports.
During the war in Ukraine, the suppliers of products to Russia have changed their market positions. China, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan and South Korea have become the dominant trade partners of Russia whereas China, Bangladesh, Italy, Indonesia and the Czech Republic were among the leading countries.
In terms of representation, PRC still has the lion's share with 70 percent, while Uzbekistan and Turkey possess merely 8 and 5 percent of the market, respectively.
While China’s main exporting goods are toys, clothes, shoes, Christmas toys, household goods and office supplies, Uzbekistan mainly sells clothes, household goods, fruits and vegetables.
