The Bukhara regional government held meetings with the management of Management and Science University (MSU) and "Sunway" University in Kuala Lumpur, Dunyo news agency reports.
The parties discussed the memorandum of cooperation signed with Bukhara State University in 2021 and the reforms implemented in the field of higher education, science and modern personnel training in Uzbekistan.
They also reached an agreement to develop a joint master's education program (1-year study in Uzbekistan, 1-year study in Malaysia) in business and tourism management.
In addition, in 2023, the parties determined plans for student exchange, conducting joint scientific research and publishing articles in the mass media of the two countries, as well as organizing the next practical trip of MSU management to Uzbekistan.
The document envisages the exchange of best practices in the development of advanced training courses for professors and teachers, the establishment of "summer schools" for students, and laboratories in "STEM" subjects.
In order to develop the above projects, joint programs have been launched between the universities for the training of qualified personnel in the fields of "Tourism and Hospitality", "Information Technologies", "Biochemistry", and "Artificial Intelligence".
