"Not only us, but the entire world has a responsibility to work with us in this area because they have harmed Afghanistan's air, space, and environment, and the world's countries have contributed to this," Stanikzai said.
He explained that he was referring to the consequences of the use of gunpowder, chemical weapons and aerial bombs in Afghanistan during the time of the Soviet Army from 1979 to 1989 and NATO troops from 2001 to 2021. Afghans suffer from cancer more often than the population of other countries.
According to him, namely, residents of the eastern province of Nangarhar still complain of skin diseases, nervous disorders and reduced productivity after 2017. In the same year, the USA used the weapon "Mother of all bombs" (GBU-43/Massive Ordnance Air Blast) in this province.
