Thousands of French took to the streets in the capital city of Paris on Sunday, Oct. 16, to protest the cost of living and the government's insensitivity to the fight against climate change.
The organizers of the protest said the number of participants was 140,000.
During the protest, which was also attended by people from many cities of the country such as Lille, Marseille and Rouen, protesters demanded higher wages and a more active policy in the fight against climate change.
