On September 22, JATA Tourism Expo Japan-2022 international exhibition began at the international exhibition centre in Tokyo where Uzbekistan is demonstrating the country’s tourism potential, the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage reports.
It is noted that the delegation of Uzbekistan is participating in a single stand created in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the country's embassy in Japan, Japan's JICA international cooperation agency, and tourism administrations of Central Asian countries.
"Uzbekistan and Japan have great potential in the field of tourism. The history of Japanese travel to Uzbekistan goes back centuries because trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian relations of this country have developed through the Great Silk Road," the Minister of Tourism Aziz Abduhakimov said.
Koichi Wada, chairman of the Japan Tourism Agency wished everyone success before the Uzbek national art samples were performed.
Uzbek tour operators are also taking part in B2B meetings with Japanese tour operators and their visiting colleagues from other countries.
