FlyDubai is launching regular flights from Dubai to Samarkand, the press service of the Ministry of Transport reports.
It was reported that on September 21, the maiden flight of Emirati Airlines from Dubai was ceremonially welcomed at the Samarkand International Airport.
The airline operates flights on the Dubai-Samarkand-Dubai route on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
"The launch of regular flights in this direction is also significant as it contributes to the development of the tourism potential of Samarkand city," the report says.
So far, there are over 13 flights per week from both sides that are carried out by Uzbekistan Airways, Fly Dubai, and Air Arabia.
