On September 19, in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov held a meeting with the Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, the head of the UN Counter-Terrorism Office, Vladimir Voronkov, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties noted that in recent years, the cooperation of Uzbekistan with the UN and its specialized agencies has been enriched with practical content and reached a new level in terms of quality, including the Joint Action Plan for the implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy in Central Asia and the Roadmap for Bilateral Cooperation.
Voronkov highly appreciated the reforms implemented in the country, and the republic's efforts to expand international and regional cooperation. The successful chairmanship of Uzbekistan in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the recent summit of the organization in the city of Samarkand, which ended with significant results, were acknowledged.
