Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the Ministry of Transport at the video conference held on September 19, the press secretary of the Uzbek President reports.
"Now it's time for Transport Minister, Mahkamov, to wake up," Shavkat Mirziyoyev says.
The Ministry of Transport’s immediate task:
- to inform the international aviation authorities about the lifting all restrictions on flights and routes of foreign airlines at Samarkand airport;
- to reach an agreement with international airlines and launch at least 10 international flights a day from Europe, Asia, America, Arab countries and neighbouring countries to Samarkand;
- to organize at least 1 daily flight from the Ferghana valley, Nukus, Urgench and Termiz.
The Cabinet of Ministers was assigned to approve the annual program of international meetings and conferences in Samarkand within a month, and develop a separate draft of a decision on the use of new complexes in Samarkand.
