More than 200 houbara bustards were released into the wild from the Emirates Bird Breeding Center for Conservation (EBBCC) located in the Korakyr desert of the Bukhara region. The centre was opened in 2008 and is located in the Korakyr desert of the district, the land area is 400 hectares at the initiative of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates. "The season for releasing birds into the wild is mainly September-October. More than 200 breeding flocks were released. At the centre, the chicks learn how to survive in the wild, how to find food, and how to recognize and hide from predators. After a few days, in cooperation with Falcon Hunting Solutions in Uzbekistan and a non-profit organization belonging to the Arab Emirates in Peshku, many more birds will be released into the wild," Shukurova noted.
