In order to accelerate the delivery of goods from China to Afghanistan and develop the logistics infrastructure, the representatives of Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and the Chinese International Logistics Company held a meeting in Tashkent.
The dialogue of the working group was chaired by the head of “Uzbekistan Railways” H.N. Khasilov.
After an introductory speech by the Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, I.R. Mahkamov, the parties discussed the ways of expanding existing opportunities, modernizing the logistics infrastructure, and expediting cargo transportation from the Kashgar station (China) to Hairatan in Afghanistan, in order to bring forward-looking projects and cooperation to new levels.
The Ambassador of Afghanistan to Uzbekistan A.Kh. Elmi and the Afghan delegation supported all the decisions of the working group who expressed their gratitude for the all-around support to Uzbekistan.
A four-way protocol was signed on the results of the meeting.
