On September 6, as part of the visit to Brussels, the delegation led by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Vladimir Norov, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs, Foreign Trade and Federal Cultural Institutions of Belgium, Haja Lahbib, the Ministry’s press service reports.
The Uzbek delegation informed about the essence of the changes being made to the Constitution of Uzbekistan. It was noted that the constitutional reforms are carried out in the conditions of open, transparent and free public discussion, taking into account public opinions and suggestions, interests of all sections of the population, as well as assessments of foreign experts.
Norov and his European counterpart agreed to hold the next round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries in Tashkent.
