At the beginning of the 2021/22 academic year, the number of foreign students studying in Uzbekistan's higher education institutions was 5,100, the State Statistics Committee reports.
- 2016/2017 academic year - 603 people;
- 2017/2018 academic year - 1320 people;
- 2018/2019 academic year - 2685 people;
- 2019/2020 academic year - 3593 people;
- 2020/2021 academic year - 4219 people;
- 2021/2022 academic year - 5140 people.
