The President of Tajikistan has supported Shavkat Mirziyoyev's effort to ensure stability in Karakalpakstan.
On July 4, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon who expressed his full support the efforts of the leader of Uzbekistan to ensure stability and consistent development in Karakalpakstan, the President's press service reports.
The heads of state reviewed the progress of the implementation of the agreements reached at the end of the high-level meeting held in Tashkent in June this year.
The sides touched upon the positive trends in cooperation such as passenger trains that have been opened between Tashkent and Dushanbe, and practical work on the Yavan hydroelectric power plant construction project that has begun on the Zerafshan river.
