Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, commented on the situation in Karakalpakstan and said that the situation is an internal matter of Uzbekistan, TASS reports.
"Uzbekistan is our ally, friendly country, very important partner. Everything that happens in Uzbekistan is the internal affairs of this country," said the press secretary of the Kremlin in response to journalists' questions about this.
According to Peskov, the Russian Federation has no doubts that "all existing problems will be solved with the active action of the leadership of Uzbekistan."
