The Uzbekistan Airports, public stock company, issued an official statement after the videos of 'no baggage cart at the Tashkent International airport' started circulating on social media.

The statement acknowledges the problem at the Airport which was caused by the unilateral termination of the agreement by Abadiya Trade, the luggage cart provider.

"Currently, Uzbekistan Airports Handling is trying to resolve the concern by purchasing new carts for Tashkent International Airport. It is expected that 1,000 new trolleys will be delivered to the airport in the coming days. Until then, the airport staff will assist passengers, especially women and elderlies to carry heavy loads.

Uzbekistan Airports apologizes for the inconvenience and promises to resolve the issue as soon as possible," the statement says.
