The Senate has approved a draft law on March 30, aimed at introducing tax breaks and regulatory reductions in certain sectors of the economy. Reports from the press service of the upper house of the Oliy Majlis show that the proposed amendments to the Tax Code focus on the jewelry and sanatorium sectors, with the objective of fostering their development.
Another amendment pertains to children's health camps within the union system, allowing them to operate as homes and recreation areas beyond holiday periods. Profits generated from these activities will be exempt from taxation, potentially incentivizing further investment in this sector.
Additionally, the proposed law suggests exempting houses and recreation areas associated with children's camps from mandatory certification requirements, a move aimed at reducing administrative burdens and facilitating smoother operations in this domain.
During a visit to the Namangan region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of supporting the jewelry industry, citing low levels of domestic processing despite significant gold production in Uzbekistan.
