Tajik President Emomali Rahmon emphasized the need for military and law enforcement agencies to adopt advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, to enhance national security. He made this statement during a congratulatory speech celebrating the 32nd anniversary of the country’s Armed Forces.

Addressing military personnel at a grand parade in Dushanbe, Rahmon praised the Armed Forces for their dedication to protecting Tajikistan’s sovereignty, stability, and territorial integrity. He emphasized that modern security challenges—such as extremism, terrorism, cybercrime, and transnational threats—require advanced training and technological preparedness.
“Priority attention should be given to issues of personnel training, their correct placement, retraining, raising the level of professionalism and skill of officers and soldiers, mastering and using modern equipment and technologies, including artificial intelligence, as well as preparing mobilization resources.,” Rahmon stated.

Reflecting on the history of Tajikistan’s Armed Forces, Rahmon recalled the challenges faced in the early years of independence, particularly during the civil war. Despite economic and logistical difficulties, the government successfully established a strong military structure, beginning with the decree on December 18, 1992, and the first military parade on February 23, 1993.
The president also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the defense sector by improving living conditions for servicemen, enhancing training programs, and equipping military units with modern technology. He stressed that discipline, patriotism, and constant vigilance remain the pillars of the Armed Forces’ success.

“The people of Tajikistan see in each of you – military personnel and law enforcement officers – reliable defenders of the independence and freedom of the Motherland, the borders of the Motherland, the peace and stability of the country, their rights and interests,” Rahmon said, urging servicemen to uphold their sacred duty with honor and dedication.
The parade concluded with a show of military strength, reaffirming the Armed Forces’ role as a pillar of national security.
