Bakhtiyor Kudratullaev, infamously known in the criminal world as "Bakhti Tashkentskiy” and “Bakhti Yangiabadskiy,” has been sentenced to 20 years in prison. The court's decision comes after Kudratullaev, a 53-year-old figure was found guilty of numerous serious crimes.
On December 3, 2023, Kudratullaev was apprehended by law enforcement officials.
Kudratullaev faces numerous charges including intentional grievous bodily harm, temporary health deterioration, unlawful deprivation of liberty, extortion, fraud, document forgery, criminal association, legalization of criminal proceeds, illegal drug activities, and bullying, with penalties ranging from fines and community service to long-term imprisonment.
During the court session held in early June, Kudratullaev denied the charges, asserting that he was merely entrusted by a state organization to control certain "street" activities in Uzbekistan.
On July 10, 2024, the prosecutor initially sought a 20-year sentence, citing Kudratullaev’s involvement in 44 criminal episodes and his status as a recidivist under Article 34. However, the final court decision set the sentence at 20 years. Additionally, Kudratullaev’s sons were also implicated, with sentences of 11 and 12 years proposed for their involvement.
