A 400-megawatt power plant, developed in collaboration with Turkey's Aksa Enerji, was officially launched in the Nishon district of Uzbekistan's Kashkadarya region.
The Presidential Press Service reported that the Head of State met with Cemil Kazanci, Chairman of Aksa Enerji, to discuss future cooperation.
The talks focused on expanding and modernizing Uzbekistan’s energy network, with an emphasis on introducing advanced technologies and sustainable energy solutions.
President Mirziyoyev praised the successful partnership with Aksa Enerji, which previously delivered modern power plants with a combined capacity of 740 MW in the Tashkent and Bukhara regions. The newly inaugurated plant is expected to play a key role in meeting the growing energy demands of industrial and residential sectors in the region.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed a bilateral "roadmap" for upcoming projects. This includes modernizing gas distribution systems, building biogas plants, and ensuring the sustainable energy supply to industrial zones. Additional discussions highlighted future initiatives in green energy and technological advancements.
