Doctor Auto Chain (DAC), a prominent automotive service provider from Mongolia, has opened its first official franchise in Almaty. This expansion into Kazakhstan marks a development in DAC's growth, facilitated by long-term collaboration with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), supported by the European Union.
For over a decade, DAC has benefited from the EBRD's financial and advisory support. This partnership has enabled DAC to enhance its operations and expand its market presence in Mongolia. With EBRD's assistance, DAC improved its human resources management, financial reporting standards, and quality management systems.
A key achievement of this collaboration was the development of a franchising model that allowed DAC to open more than 15 branches across Mongolia, now serving over 650,000 customers. DAC's workforce comprises over 55% women and more than 60% young employees, demonstrating the company's commitment to diversity and youth employment.
Additionally, DAC has implemented an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) program with the EBRD's guidance. This program includes recycling used materials, using eco-friendly packaging, and adopting environmentally sustainable construction practices.
The Almaty franchise opening is the first step in DAC's plans to establish more than 200 branches in Kazakhstan and extend its operations to other Central Asian markets over the next decade.
The official opening ceremony in Almaty was attended by representatives from DAC, the EBRD, the European Union, and local stakeholders.
