The Central Bank of Afghanistan announced strides in enhancing ATM services nationwide, with approximately 280 ATMs currently operational across the country. According to Hasibullah Noori, the bank's spokesperson, Kabul alone hosts 190 of these ATMs, providing essential banking services to residents.
While many Kabul residents appreciate the convenience of ATM services for quick cash withdrawals, some have expressed dissatisfaction with the associated withdrawal fees. Abdul Waris, a Kabul resident, highlighted the convenience of accessing funds via ATMs, contrasting it with concerns over the frequency of withdrawal fees.
Mujib Rahman echoed similar sentiments, suggesting that banks consider alternative fee structures to alleviate financial burdens on customers. In response to growing demand, citizens are advocating for the installation of more ATMs nationwide to facilitate easier access to banking services. Ahmad Elias emphasized the importance of expanding the ATM network to enhance service delivery.
Fawad, another resident of Kabul, underscored the essential role of ATMs in providing vital financial services across Afghanistan. The Central Bank also announced the integration of the Fpay ID card with all ATMs, enhancing accessibility and usability for customers across the country.
